The Bold & The Beautiful

Bold and beautiful. Nothing seems more fitting a description for Designer Dareen Hakim's aesthetic. Dareen states that when her creative expression turned to fashion, "...my mother’s closets became a world of discovery of old vintage handbags and accessories mixed with cool contemporary wardrobe. This is where my aesthetic of bold and contrasting elements began." Hakim goes on to say, "I always believed that if you’re going to do something, do it big and do it proud." Her bags reflect that statement, and she definitely has reasons to be proud! The contrasting elements of her handbags tell her story of that creative expression with that bold metal accents on a backdrop of soft, pretty leather.
